If I recall correctly, it's not an actual next gen update. It's a resolution update to the existing game. If you go into the settings you should find more resolution options available that will allow you to run the game at 60fps.

Solution. #2. It's likely the auto OC, even manual ones have to be done carefully, and aren't guaranteed to work with every game. I'm having the same exact issue.. atleast over 15 min into the game my game crashes. After the first crash its downhill from there (like a ripple effect). Never crashed on my Xbox One S, so crashing on my X is so frustrating. My other games don't crash, only FC5 (still happening even after the update). So went to the store on xbox series x, downloaded UBISOFT CONNECT app, registered my same email that I used to buy far cry 6 and then connected using the app, then went back to the game and reconnected to ubisoft connect (from within far cry 6 game main menu), suddenly everything started unlocking, all my packs and obviously you Far Cry 5 wonāt load on your Xbox X. Hope you figure out the issue :) It's because it's 30 FPS. If you have a Series X, you're probably used to games being 60 FPS or above. Far Cry 5 doesn't have a Series X version, so you're playing the Xbox One X version which is 30 FPS. That's why it looks super choppy compared to the 60+ FPS you're used to.
If you load FC6 and get the error, go to XBOX settings and select go offline. Far Cry 5 may not be everyone's favourite in the series, but I think it might be T8JBc.
