J.D. 2023-07-18 1 point A small correction: about the 800x600 default resolution, it's possible to get the game working in 1024x768 (I completely forgot about this when I setup the game) it’s the highest setting without breaking this unstable game, it's because in the original exe gives you resolution options on screen/start menu in desktop, and since the alternative exe for working on win

You have two options, if you still have the product codes you can enter them in origin or you can contact origin support and if you’re lucky (might take talking to a couple different support people) you can get the ultimate collection free. I doubt you’ll get anywhere with Origin anymore.

At this time, all Origin customers who had previously registered their copy of The Sims 2 should now have the newly remastered The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection in their Origin My Games library. We know that there are a lot of fans of The Sims who may not have had their copy of the game registered on Origin \Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\. It was possible to get a copy of the Ultimate Collection by providing a physical or disc copy of The Sims 2 (or any other The Sims 2 compilation e.g. The Sims 2: Double Deluxe) on one's Origin account on Origin live chat. Once done, a copy would be added to the Origin library.I see this all the time and I really disagree. I've played Sims 3 for probably 5-600 hours. I enjoy the game a lot. Before downloading the origin version, I downloaded a non official version off the internet. I had bought legal copies of all the games in the past but its such a pain to get this game nowadays. One day it just stopped working so I reached out to EA for the official ultimate collection on origin. The game has been installed and reinstalled many
(It has never supported Sims 2 for the Mac as the game was ported by a company called Aspyr). The only way to get the Sims 2 for the Mac OS is to buy the Sims 2 Super Collection from the Apple App Store for about $20 US which is way cheaper than what I paid when I originally bought the game.
