You can use cosmetic mods in multiplayer but I think the Mandalorian mod edits Finn's gun. As long as it's fully updated you should be fine. IMO though, since it does change the gun, I wouldn't take the risk. Yup. I use mods all the time.
This might be related to the coupling between the Epic launcher and the game. Restarting each of the related pieces of software or starting the game from either the desktop short/Epic client/Origin client didn't help. An issue was introduced recently to one of the programs in the stack.
