If a Guild Wars 2 account is linked, both your Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 passwords will be changed to the same password. Changing your account name on that site may result in you not being able to login to the game.

I still had my jewel case of GW1 with the access key in it (a little rubbed but legible) plus my access keys for Nightfall, Eye of the North, Guild Wars 2, and Character names. That’s what I’ve heard as well. I assume the renewed interest is clogging the line, which I’m cool with waiting; I only make this post in jest.
