Nono54r there's no 'shift' function in the game. who knows, maybe in the future, however, what you can do if you don't mind editing the controls file and binding them yourself you can actually 'double bind' functions. of course some work better together than others but an example would be i currently have the 'enter/activate' function and cycle zoom level on the route advisor set to the back
The switch is to go between Automatic and Sequential. I don't think there's a switch to go between Manual (with a shifter) and Sequential. Even with the seq box selected, when i press the button to switch to auto nothing happens, im just stuck in neutral, or it might be auto im selecting, sequential should be that i still have to shift gears but without needing a clutch (forward and backwards
i just bought the logitec shifter for the g920. plugged it in and the software recognises it. went through the setup wizard for the h shifter which the game recognized input for. when i got into the game to drive the shifter simply doesnt work. i followed a couple videos on setup and found nothing different from what i had done. why the ♥♥♥♥ is the shifter not working?
What kind of shifter layout are you using? The game offers several layouts modeled after real truck shift patterns. I think I use the ZF 16-speed layout because it's most similar to the Eaton-Fuller layout I use in ATS, but whichever layout you use will vary depending on your preference and also the type of transmission you have in your truck.
Perhaps most exciting for the Traxion team, given our recent Euro Truck Simulator 2 antic s, is a dedicated steering wheel for lorry simulation. I do not have a working H-gate shifter. (just broke recently) I want to use "Real Automatic" tranny, not "Simple Automatic." The problem I am having is .if I remember correctly, the mapping for this option ("Forward" and Reverse" )is in the Keyboard menu, but the game allows you to map a button or paddle shifter on the wheel.

Yes it will, the TH8A is just another USB device when used on PC so it will work with any wheel at all. Not natively, that one is meant for thrustmaster wheels. (Supposedly there are ways to get it hooked up, but I can’t vouch for those.) Logitech makes a shifter specifically for their own wheels here.

I've been using a Thrustmaster T300RS steering wheel and 3 pedal set for some time now and a few days ago both ETS 2 & ATS stopped recognising it. While it recognises the button functions for the steering wheel it will not recognise the steering or pedals.
Re: G29 gear shift. I use the G29 with pedals and H-shifter. If you are using real automatic, the truck should shift on its own. If want to manually shift then you need to switch to Sequential AND set the paddles to be Shift UP and Shift Down (or use the H-Shifter). If you want to let the truck shift automatically but also want to be able to
